Ryzen 5 1600 build freezing

Ihandran

My Ryzen build has been freezing and I don't know why it has been. It happens randomly, the screen freezes and I can't move my mouse or type. If there is audio playing it will keep playing for 10-20 seconds then stop. It requires a full restart of my PC to unfreeze it.

Specs

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 (no OC)

MOBO: Asrock AB350M Pro4

RAM:G.SKILL NT Series 8GB 2133mhz

GPU: GTX 1050ti

PSU: EVGA 500W

Does this only happen if you are gaming? Or is it truly random, like you can turn your pc on and have it "idle" for 5 minutes before it freezes? If it only happens while you are gaming, what games are you playing?

Is your gpu overclocked? if it is not and this is all of the information you have and it is truly random I would start by updating drivers and if all updated try updating bios

It happens at random and my GPU isn't overclocked.

Could it be my hard drive because I have a slow 5200 RPM hdd.

That should not cause the freezing like you are experiencing.

I doubt it is your temps but you may want to run a program that puts a load on your cpu wait 10 minutes and check tempatures

I ran the 3dMark Time Spy benchmark and my temps are CPU 41 degrees and 35 for GPU.
