My 1080 stays at 48-49°C idle temp. I checked and the fans don't spin when idle. Isn't it a bit high?

Aorus 1080 Has a freeze fan mode for under 55C If you really want too you can set a fan curve in MSI Afterburner But I mean my 1080 Idles at 42C And load 64C So. Just be careful if it gets over 80C

48-49 will not do any long term damage, and as stated above you can set a fan curve in MSI AB, but I recommend just leaving it so you don't have to deal with the unnecessary noise and potentially decreased lifespan of your fans overtime by constantly running them.

That's normal idle temp for a 1080. For the fan, most graphics cards with zero fan speed profiles will only activate the fan at between 55°C and 60°C. The fan will also operate on a preset speed curve, typically starting at around 30% and peaking at 100% speed at above 70°C, but this varies by manufacturer and GPU model. The reason for this design is to minimize noise and lessen the power consumption of the card.

mines lower in the high 30s but my EVGA fans are not whats doing it it's air flow in case. If you want I might reccomend if possible to find ways to increase air flow in case if your dead set on it but yeah 45 to 49c wont do any harm.
