Apple's actual letter of apology

So I created an account in the last 30 minutes to contribute this to the forums since I've been watching LTT for a while so I decided this would be a good first post. Lately, Apple has taken a defensive stance on its position on the battery/CPU DOWN-throttling on iPhones with diminished battery life. Only because of massive negative customer feedback from usually mum Apple users (in my own circle I had friends ask me whats wrong when they normally do not care at all!) did Apple, in my opinion, did the right thing for a change and was transparent. Even more so, Apple decided to take actual action (probably to safeguard their customer service title) and REDUCED the price of battery replacements by $50, down to $29, from the regular price of $79.

Later in 2018, iOS will show the health of their iPhones (maybe iPads too?) battery  so they can see if its condition is affecting perfomance.

Go get your battery replaced for your iPhones in 2018!! Cause you can't do it yourself anyways....

I just don't have the minerals to use an iFixit kit and pry the glass faceplate off. No no no no no....  BTW, I also hope the new iOS has a battery health checker baked into the code.  HowToGeek did have a good article on 3rd party programs that do the same thing... ...2017 article on HowToGeek Dot Com...

For the brave DIY-er, here's the link...
