Strange motherboard error prevention behavior ??

Go to solution Solved by Niestanari,

Well a cmos reset solve it. Still not understand why...

Hi,

Last night while playing my Gpu crashed (i think), nothing special just crazy gray pixels. Turn off the PC and check the problem today.

Now the Gpu (msi rx 480 gaming 8g) is not recognized in device manager (W10x64). Intel Igpu still works yaay :)

So I put it into my workstation and it is OK. Check the vBios it was old update it (TV341MH.151 ->TV341MH.154) still OK. Play Overwatch 20 min still OK.

Overall the Gpu is seems fine.

I check the Pci slot. Replace Rx480 with a Gtx 650 is working.

Psu is a 600W Coolermaster. I think this is fine too because the video card fan ramping up and the led lit.

Soo what the hell??

Checked the bios settings maybe find some kind of error prevention blacklist where the gpu is listed but noting.

Try a full bios reset maybe??

Mabo is a Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H

Anyone experience similar problem and find a workaround?

Nope, not in Bios (and no option to list devices...) not in windows ...

The Bios don't have Fast boot option however boot really fast and the Post screen not list anything. Also to pause button still noting there.

Tried to turn off the Intel rapid start, still no effect.
