Looking to get a camera that’s pretty good for my budget

I’m looking to buy a camera under $200 CAD, what I need it to do is, shoot 1080p video, take decent pictures, would like to see if I could get a DSLR but doesn’t have to be one, easy to carry around. So what camera would make sense, my mom also has Canon so if I get a dslr from them I don’t need lenses.

used 1300d/1200d probably could go for that cheap - if paired with decent lens, it is a very good entrance combo

Those aren’t in my price range at all, my budget is $200 CAD

A good camcorder?  1080p handheld camcorders are pretty decent and can be found cheaply.

was a guess that they go USED for that price, maybe look at older models from that range too. I have no clue what the canadian market has to offer, just was a guess from one point half way around the globe that that could be the case cause they go here quite cheap.

 

 

Here the cheapest 1200d went to another home for 170€ including a lens. fyi

 

EDIT2: Canon T3 bodies go for around 100CAD on ebay.ca, and for under 200CAD you can get quite a decent bundle for the money. Yes it is not the latest but it gets you started. And if you have time to get one, canon t3i start around 200CAD used with lenses, so you could get a newer sensor and stuff if you have the patience to try your luck

Well one with a mic input costs out of my budget range, I’ll look to see what my local Best Buy has in stock
