Pretty much, would be a solid system to hold you over until like Ryzen 3 in 2020 or something with 12 core 5ghz chips hopefully

Probably just upgrade the RAM later on then, 8gbs should be mostly fine in any event

ive made a couple of post about this and i just dont want to be let down and see no improvement. should i get this : https://gyazo.com/69be1e9b144dadfb9379f1a3d7cf556c or should i get this : https://gyazo.com/4021a9a03a247092c5d910c26e6fa92b ? i dont know what to do because if i get the i5 and the lga1151 socket i can upgrade to i7 in the future but if i get the ryzen theres not really much cpus that fit am4. all i really do is game and i might want to stream here and there, games like csgo, h1z1, and fortnite and have a consistent 200-250 fps. what should i do? i have roughly $300 budget.

Ok, sense no one seems to be answering the actual question you asked, here.

The ryzen option would be better.

With that being said, the board you picked has a steep price for a B350 Mobo. But if it's for aesthetics, then go for it. Also, people might say that x370 overclocks better than b350, but that's not really true.

Had a custom pc, but I traded it for a Razer Blade 15 with a RTX 2070

i was gonna get the tomahawk arctic for $80-$90 for aesthetics not the one that was suggested but if the mobo tht was suggested is way better than why not get tht. like i said i only have roughly $300 for ram, mobo, and cpu.

The problems with MSI boards happened at launch, and are no longer a problem. And really, the only reason you should buy a X370 mobo is if you plan on doing SLI. If you're going for cheaper, definitely don't do x370. Here's a great budget option.
