Um, the biggest bottleneck is your q6600. Get a new Mobo which can support OC and it should be a bit better. 

Used to be everywhere in LTT forums, had a break which lasted apparently 1 year LOL. 

Gonna get up againnnn.

Also, see if you can get a Q9650 and OC it, it should perform much better than an OC Q6600. And remove some of the bottle neck, not all as that gpu is a really good one still by todays standards.

Try getting an Asus P5K Deluxe (around $70). It can OC but you might want to get a better cooler. Something like the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro rev2 should be good at $25.

Also, if you wanted the best cpu for the motherboard, get the qx9650 or qx9770(which is marginally better than the qx9650) . But seriously, if you have the money for these CPUs then just get an i7 2600k and a cheap Mobo with it as it will kick the qx9770s arse at everything and still be cheaper wherever you look (eBay should be a good idea)

But then again you can probably find an i7 4770k for around $250 and a cheap lga 1150 Mobo which would also be a better cup than the 2600k but only 15% increase of performance for 30% more money
