I have two options for case one is CoolerMaster 690iii and another is MasterCase 5 not pro version

that one is not available in my area

so help me decide cause its my first build

I would go with m-atx system, I don't think atx is viable option now, because it doesn't have any advantages anymore.

m-atx is smaller and takes a lot less space

mastercase 5

dont get the 690iii - its pretty much the same thing as the 690ii and i have that one...its awful for 2017

no dust filters

flimsy plastic everywhere

you pretty much HAVE to move the top hdd cage for the front intakes to be any useful

no room for cable management

ATX advantage is that you can stuff so much into it compared to MATX though, and GPUs will have more room to breathe if you get something with a big cooler.

I'd go for the master box 5, it's a decent case

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

It doesn't really matter, most m-atx cases support any size gpus.

I have Bitfenix Phenom M and all my fans are set to 600rpm and max my cpu and gpu gets is 50 C (gtx 1060 at 2100Mhz and 6600k stock clocks)

I think at least 99% doesn't take advantage of all that spare space you get

Three and two and a half slot GPUs can get choked

I sure do, system barely fits in my Define C tbh. ATX boards also tend to get better VRMs and the little bit of saved space from an MATX board and case hardly makes up for the cut down upgrade options imo
