two different gpus in one system ?

so it goes as such: i just upgraded my gpu to a rx 550 (from a 9800+) and i got another monitor. i can run one of my displays with hdmi but i cannot hook up my other monitor to my gpu. Can i have both my old and new graphics card at the same time in my system or will there be conflicts ?
