Buy from Steam or Uplay?

Going to purchase Rainbow 6, but wonder if their is any beneift to buying off uplay vs steam? 

 

Both are on sale for the same price, and i dont think the Ubi club point discount would apply on a sale item.

There's really no benefit to buying it through Steam. It still needs to be installed and launched and managed through uPlay, just you have to go through more steps to do it.

i like it throught steam just so all my games are in one place. yes i know you can add non steam games. i also like it showing how much time i played and the screenshots on steam. but my steam profile is something i like to look cool

I prefer keeping my Ubisoft games on Uplay since you'll have to use Uplay anyways.

if its a ubisoft title i highly suggest buying it through Uplay

i recently bought The Division through steam even though to play it - it had to do some handshake with uplay to booth the game and would almost always crash. 

I should have just bought it through uplay originally

 

maybe it was only an issue specific to me- perhaps other rainbow6 players dont have this issue through steam
