Balls to the wall SSD

Perovic95

Hello,

I have 2012 rMBP 15"with 256 gb SSD and I want to kinda refurbish it, get a new battery, new SSD...  I was looking at ifix site : here , but the biggest one available is 768gb. What I want is 2 TB. Now my problem is that I cannot find any info on what type of SSD is that, is it like the regular nvme? Could I put this in? Thank you for answers

As you may expect, it's not a standard drive, you'd need to buy a specific and more expensive drive than regular M.2.

I don't think there is a 2TB SSD for that system.

so I looked further and found an adapter to use mSATA , but I cannot find 2TB SSD, I did, however, find somewhere that this is mSATA in an external enclosure, so could breaking that up and adapting it to apple with adapter work?
