does someone else fit a gtx 1060 in it or does it come out the factory with a 1060?

Well, if you look at it, an i5 7400 uses something like 70w max and a 1060 uses around 120w max. While not ideal, and something I definitely wouldn't do, it would technically work. But that's not taking into account peripherals, hard drives, ram, case fans and stuff like that. You'd really be pushing it with a 260w PSU and I don't think it'd be safe. I'd 100% recommend getting a new PSU, even something like a Corsair CX450m. That 260w could be an awful brand and I have absolutely no idea why it'd be put in a build like that.

Oh and what brand is it? If it's some large reputable company then it is fine. Probably not something you want to overclock on, but then large companies wont run risks of using a PSU that's too weak because they are the ones providing warranty and they will lose money if too many of these got sent back for repairs.

The HP prebuilts my high school used for VR had QC-HT Xeons with GTX 1060s on 280W PSUs, so it would run more than fine. Manufacturers aren't that dumb.

 

Considering an i5 7400 and 1060 might draw 200-210W under load, the 260W PSU is fine.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
