Yes and no.

Check out DosBox.

Downloaded DosBox and ran it. DosBox scares me.

Download VirtualBox and source a Windows 7 ISO.

Try the game on that, if it doesnt work then try Windows XP, If it works on Windows 2000 then It should work on XP. But test Windows 7 first.

You can download a Windows 7 iso from Windows ISO you can just run the evaluation copy for 30 days I believe if you don't have a license. I dont know where you would source an XP iso other than ripping one from a disk, If you need XP licences I have a few legitimate ones that you can use, PM me.

1 im using a mounted iso file for the game

2 can you walk me through VirtualBox

How so? I've used Dosbox to play some games and it was awesome. You just have to mount a directory and use "cd" to change folders.

Before you start setting up a VM, what game are you playing because You want to make sure that you use the right operating system, and what kind of graphics acceleration it needed. You cant play 3D accelerated games in virtualbox. And if you can use Dos box then that would ane easy way but you want to make sure that you game even supports dos.

how do i find out what graphics acceleration is needed?

If you can't be bothered to read the FAQ and learn to use DosBox, you don't deserve to privilege of playing legacy games. Sorry.

That game wouldn't run in a VM or Dosbox, you will need to either use windows 7. A quick google search and I see some people have got it working on windows 10 by installing a legacy Nvidia driver. Perhaps you could do that? https://steamcommunity.com/app/24840/discussions/0/535152276584065853/

i dont have a compatibility option in properties (windows isn't activated, maybe that's the problem)
