I'm looking for a psu that I can use with my current system (4770k @ 4.7 ghz, 3.1 volts, gtx 1070 @ stock for now). I also want to transfer it over to my next build I'm going to do next year (probably a gtx 11 series and a ryzen +/2 or whatever). I'm currently looking at a seasonic prime gold 650w, I think that's more than enough for both but I'm just making sure

Stick with a FOCUS Plus Gold 550 or higher, saves quite a bit of money.

I don't thing a 4770K running at 3.1V is safe

You can run that computer on 550W easily. I'd even do 450 but that's a bit of a stretch. That's so you don't have to spend huge bucks on a PSU.

Currently the EVGA 550W G3, an extremely well performing PSU, goes for $80 with a $20 rebate over at newegg. That would be my pick.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Probably meant 1.3V, which is on the lower end of voltages for a Haswell
