Solid.  The 1070 and 1400 are a pretty good choice at 1080p and 1440 (with lower settings here).

The 1070 is an outstanding GPU (in my opinion). Here is a link to what you can expect performance-wise: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1070-graphics-card-roundup,4751-2.html

What exacly do you mean by hit and miss? I used a lot os MSI mobos in my life and all of them were pretty good. (except for the one that shorted and started a small fire ._.)

I would skip over the R5 1400 and go straight to at least the 1500X, preferably the 1600. The extra cache & cores help.

Otherwise, everything else looks great.

It's on a budget limit. I would if I could... but I'm afraid I can't. :/

If you scrap the T4 cooler, you can pick up a 1500X (possibly a 1600 if you stretch your budget a bit).

If you can't, it's not the end of the world either. You're not sacrificing that much performance when paired with a 1070 at 1080p. Good luck!

Scrapping the cooler? What about the temps tho!? o.O

The 1400, 1500X, and 1600 all come with the Wraith Cooler. It works pretty well, too. It keeps the CPUs cool up to around a 3.8 GHz overclock.

I though the cooler you get with those was bad (first build on Ryzen). Well, I will scrap it and see if the budget can take it.

Try to get the 1600 instead of the 1400. The extra cores will help with resale value, and it should last you significantly longer.

Drop the low end air cooler, the stock cooler is fine, even for overclocking.

That's the worst B350 motherboard by far. 3-phase garbage that will overheat (not shut down, it's too stupid to do that), if you do anything with an 8-core, or a slightly overclocked 6-core.

There are cheaper 8GB kits, get one of those. ≥2800MHz, brand doesn't matter.

You can get cheaper 250GB SSDs.

You can get cheaper HDDs.

If you can, try to get the 1070 Ti. 25% more performance.

The G2 550W is available for $55, get that PSU instead.

You can get a Windows key from Reddit or Kinguin for ~$25.
