Ram not appearing the same on system

This is a new PC I have downloaded all the bios updates, and drivers. 

My specs are:

Ryzen 5 1600

Gtx 1060 3gb

Gigabyte gaming 3 ab350 

2x4 8gb corsair vengeance 3600mhz 

On my system it comes up as: 2133 mHz

Where as on my bios I chose profile 1(xmp) which says I have 36000 mhz

Turn on XMP, Turn the frequency up to the maximum of either your motherboard or the RAM, whichever is lowest. You may also need to increase the voltage to around 1.37.

 

EDIT: The highest speeds that your mobo supports is 3200mhz OC'd. So set it to 3200mhz for the RAM.

he has xmp on

 

and dont look ram speeds wit hwindows, windows will laways say 2133mhz really, look ram speeds using cpu-z

 

half of the speed will be shown > example 1200mhz = 2400mhz ,  1600mhz = 3200mhz ( double data rate remember )

 

windows will always show the default speed of the kit, which is 2133mhz for ddr4

 

1600mhz for ddr3 ( in most xmp kits )

On the bios it should tell you the correct speeds, mine always ran at 2133mhz untill i OC'd to 3200mhz which is now what it shows... Doubt im running at 6400mhz??

hes bios screenshot is showing just fine that its at 3600mhz

 

the half mhz ( actual running speeds ) is shown by cpu-z and other monitoring tools ;p

Its showing 2133mhz too which i think is what he is asking...?

nah he is wondering why windows is showing 2133mhz ( the task manager ) well it always does that to xmp rams

 

he just has to download cpu-z and double the mh amount to get hes actual mhz, if cpu-z also shows 1066mhz ( aka 2133 ) then hes xmp profile isnt applying

Hmm still weird, i just checked mine and windows says 3200mhz, i understand what you mean now though, just kinda strange.

my windows says 1600mhz on a 2133mhz cas 9-9-11-24-1t timings set

 

windwos is just the worst thing to monitor with, get cpu-z/gpu-z and hardware monitor for monitoring stuff

Yeah i do already, hence why i had never looked at the speeds on task manager, which is what confused me

I put it down too 3200mhz, and it works now
