Can't see devices in network

Hello

 

I can't see any network devices or locations on the this computer in my network however my girlfriends computer (Identical to mine) siting next to me, plugged into the same router can, both PC's are cabled rather than wifi.

 

both computers have the same network and sharing settings, I've tried most of the basic trouble shooting steps like turning off firewalls, anti virus and reset network settings 

 

anyone have a fix?

Check homegroup / workgroup settings.  Do ipconfig /all  from a command prompt, see if you're on the same subnet and IP range as the other machine.

I've had that problem as well, in windows 10, especially on domains. Turning Function Discovery Resource Publication in Services to Automatic instead of Manual, the default, worked for me.
