csgo wont launch

Yesterday i was playing csgo it was working just fine, today when i launched csgo  it says preparing to launch flashes a black screen and never opens the game but i can see the game in the task manager.I would appreciate help.

no i am on windows 7 64 bit

Well, you obviously changed something. What was it? Did you install anything? Update anything? Uninstall anything?

Have you tried booting the game in Windowed, also have you got the latest drivers installed?

yeah i was have a api-ms-win-core-synch error in some other game and i changed that and now it wont work

Verify it via Steam, it should repair the files that gone borked

Undo that or find another fix for it.
