I need help, please.

So I recently ordered a cyberpowerpc gamer xtreme i7 gtx 1060 3gb, and my computer is using integrated graphics and my nvidia control panel will not open. I do not know how to fix this, the driver shows up on geforce expericnce and in my device manager. When I disable intel graphics it uses microsoft basic display drivers.

Did you uninstall the previous driver before using the GPU?

Are you using the latest version of the driver available?

I didn't uninstall the previous drivers, but I went and downloaded the newest driver for my gpu. I also did a custom installation and used a clean install of the driver

Hi,

 

Go into "Device Manager" and uninstall the graphics drivers for your Nvidia card, then make sure you are using output from the card itself.

Lastly, in the BIOS (Or you younger kids UEFI) disable integrated graphics. Then proceed to do another clean install of graphics drivers from the Nvidia website.

Should this issue arise still, you may have a corrupt windows install.

It's best to uninstall the previous driver completely before you even take the old GPU out of the build, that'll insure that the old driver with not interfere with the new one (there are programs available for that)

LOL, put this one in the books boys. Don't worry, i've plugged both ends of my dvi-hdmi cable, and wondered why my monitor wouldn't work.
