Hello,

So, I want to buy a new computer for gaming and I'm having a hard time deciding which one of these two configurations I should get. I would greatly appreciate if anyone could help me out with this decision, as I don't really know much about computers.

Configuration #1:
Motherboard -  Intel MSI B85-G43 Gaming
Processor - Intel® Core™ i5-4440 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.30 GHz)
Graphics Card -  Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST
RAM - Kingston 8GB DDR3 1333MHz
HDD -  750GB SATA 2
Sound card - Realtek® ALC1150 Codec - 7.1-Channel High Definition Audio
No optical device.

Configuration #2:
Motherboard -  Intel MSI B85M-E33
Processor -  Intel® Core™ i5-4430 Processor 3.0GHz (6M Cache, do 3.20 GHz)
Graphics Card -   AMD Radeon HD7790 1GB GDDR5
RAM -  Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
HDD -  1TB SATA III
Sound card - Realtek® ALC887
Optical device -  DVD-RW

I know both of these are pretty similar, that's why I'm having a hard time deciding which one I should get.

Also, I'd like to mention that the price of both configurations is the same.

Thanks in advance.

May i recommend AMD processor? Much cheaper, for much greater power.

In US 6300 is around 110$ in USA, 8320 ( eight core, best bang for buck since you can OC it to like 8350 levels- similar performance to 4670k @ stock  ) is around 150$ .

But power consumption is larger.

If you decide to get 6300, you can put extra money into HD7850 2gb or something or maybe a cpu cooler.

But since you didnt provide us info: shop, prices, location etc. cant help you with build specifically.

Both of these are 550 euros. Is it even worth getting one of these for that amount of money?

You could build it yourself or have someone esle build it for you and probably get a bit better PC even for that price. But Im not the expert in that...ask someone like @WoodenMarker

Specs of my PC:

CPU: AMD FX 8350  Motherboard: Gigabyte 990XA UD3  GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce 2GB  HDD: WD Green 2TB SSD:  Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD RAM: Corsair 8GB(2X4) PSU: CoolerMaster G650M

Motherboards you have there are basically the same. Go for cheapest

CPUs are basically the same. Go for cheapest

Get the cheapest 1600mhz RAM you and find.

HDD capacity is super personal.

Don't get a sound card, especially at this budget.

If you need an optical drive, you need one, if you don't then definitely don't get one.

GPU is the key here, get the highest tier card you have the money for!

Not really for gaming. Games are mostly gpu bound and more money is being spent on the cpu than the gpu.

Where are you shopping/located? Do you need a copy of Windows?
