Display Port MTS Hub

Trying to figure out if I could run 2 1080p 60hz and one 1440p 165hz Off one display port with an MTS Hub.
I have a gtx1080 so I am currently fine without one.

My purpose is that I move my desktop between my living room and my office for VR so I'm trying to minimize the number of cables I need to unplug and replug in..

Alright, I'm curious if there is anything special I need, or if normal stuff works.

Like do I need a DP 1.4 Cable due to the increased bandwidth?

Increased bandwidth would probably help, I personally would do that just to be sure it'll work and that I'll have the bandwidth for it.

A 1440p 165 Hz monitor will consume the entire bandwidth of a DP 1.2 link, and all MST hubs available only support up to DP 1.2, so you unfortunately you will not be able to do that.
