the 7990 has the most raw power, but also consumes the most power, and you may feel micro-stutter in some games.

the 780 is the least powerful in the pack, but also consumes the least amount of power, and has a quiet fan on it.

the 290 is the cheapest option, and when you throw a water cooler on it (with the nzxt G10), it can pull quite a lead on the 780.

Thanks for your support but should it make a big diffrence to go for a HD7990 (price/performance) its €600 (827.52 U.S. dollars) compared to a single 290 or GTX780

Personally i would get a 290 and then when it gets sluggish grab another. and to be perfectly honest, you can get a cheaper card for the games you are wanting to play and they will still run great.

Personally, I would buy the GTX 780, even though it give you the least performance for the $$$

I ran in to another problem with going for a 290 which is probaly going to be the one i go with.

In januari there will be aftermarket 290s coming out and my qeustion is will the pcb`s be the same of the non aftermarket? because i want 3 same waterblocks and backplates for the cards.

If you are buying NOW, then get Gtx 780

If you can wait till aftermarket coolers for 290 then 290. Also wait for prices to drop ( retailers raising prices on amd cards because litecoin mining rush )

7990 is overpriced. only in England it has similar price to 7970 crossfire.

That strongly depends on the board partner and what the card is supposed to be. If this is just a R9 290 with board partner non reference cooler, these cards will run cooler and quieter. But then they also release things like GHz editions and what not and you have to be careful with these. Many of them come out with a custom PCB.

But I'm very sure you can always find a card from a board partner with a better air cooler but reference PCB. In case of a doubt always contact the card manufacturer first before buying it.
