I wanted to try that but don't have enough vram :( definitely something I'm testing out when I get more vram though...

 

 

Currently use premiere, before that pinnacle studio (absolute garbage but the trsnsitions are nice)

Shotcut is a pretty lightweight and flexible open source video editor if you're looking for something other than Premiere

How much vram you have? I could run it with my previous GPU, GTX560Ti. Not with other software running, like VLC or Opera with YT. But could use it.

Only 1GB. considering upgrading to either the rx 550 4GB or gtx 1050 2GB though, split between getting more vram or higher performance with less vram, either way one of those cards should be able to handle davinci

You could run it now. And I would go for more vram if you plan to edit more in future. I went for 3 gigs and slightly older card, 780 used.
