Any tips for a first build?

About to build my first pc. I've already gotten parts from the helpful people on the forums, but I was wondering if there Re any dos or donts of building a pc or any trouble areas I should be careful with. Appreciate any help

Don't rush it, take your time to read instructions and don't mess about.

Dont forget to apply thermal paste - ITS A LIFE SAVER

plug the thing into the thing, and try to remove screws that fall behind the motherboard

Plan out the build. Take the time to check each manual and plan out the sequence of steps you are going to follow. It doesn't hurt to write these down in the order you intend to follow. Evey build is a little different and often one component has to be installed before another in order for everything to fit together nicely. Don't forget little steps like screwing in necessary (and only the necessary) motherboard standoffs.

 

Be neat and methodical. A quick and easy way to fry a motherboard is to leave some piece of metal (screw, etc.) on the motherboard tray when the motherboard is mounted.

Its not nearly as hard as you think it will be, that said keep calm and do not get stressed if something does not fit right away, take one step back and try again!

ground yourself before building

i don't know about you but i have building thing in a getto way so build your rig with prefection

and please don't forget to wear sandals and eat pickles and play with you cats will building the rig
