Slow transfer

Hi, I just installed FreeNAS and made an smb share and when I transfer to the NAS on my windows pc I get only 3.78mb/s

Assuming no issues with either the NAS or the computer, transfer speed depends on the following:

• How many files you're transferring. It takes much longer to transfer 10,000 files totaling 1GB than 5 files totaling 1GB
• What interface you're using. Wi-Fi can be much slower than Ethernet
• How busy the network is. If you have 5 other device trying to do HD streaming over the network, then there may not be enough bandwidth on the router to go around for file transfers.

I am only transferring 1  4.4gb file over the network by ethernet using a 4 port gigabyte nic

Are you watching the monitoring graphs while the file is transferring?
