ModMic 4 or 5

1) I was looking at purchasing a ModMic, and was wondering if the £20 price difference for a ModMic 5 is worth the price hike.

2) If not then which version of the ModMic 4 should i get the Omni-directional or the Uni-directional.

omni or uni depends on your use case, read up on it :-)

I would go version 4 uni

Apologies that I am late to this thread @Midgitwarrior.

 

I strongly recommend using the Syba USB, CM-UAUD, over the Sabrent one. We have inconsistent results with the Sabrent USB, as it seems they changed their chipsets without telling anyone.

 

The 4 and 5 have really clear differences, which I am happy to go over in detail if you need any clarification. Let me know if you have a specific question on the differences.

The 4 Omni is discontinued, so if you managed to find one... that's pretty impressive I thought they were totally sold out worldwide. If you do find one we still give it full warranty support and such. We even have a few we keep in our warehouse just in case!

 

We killed the 4 Omni because it was (by far) the lowest seller and it was confusing people. We were constantly getting people ordering the wrong one and spending a lot of time and energy trying to understand the differences. Personally it was my favorite, but isn't that how it always goes? .
