A theoretical 3GHz core clocked GT 1030 (LN cooling :P), can't be faster than 1,5GHz Titan Xp.
A 10GHz GDDR5X (GTX 1080) memory isn't better than 1,7GHz HBM2 (Titan V).

That's why both metrics by themselves are 100% meaningless/pointless to judge a GPU on (regardless of task GPU is meant to do).

@JHurley7nrx You don't.
You check articles/reviews with more than one GPU in result table, and based on that you check what suits you the most perf/$/"likeness" wise.

If you want a 1060 why does it matter what speed they are or the specs? Gonna all be the same overall.

YouTube has them all. Perfrom within a few fps. But all gpus are different even if you get the exact same one as someone else. Only real comparison is the cooler types and mini or full size pcb.

All GTX 1060 can be overclocked to any one model level (and highest OC depends on silicon lottery). So checking how they stack up performance wise is stupid.

If you know you want a GTX 1060 6GB, check cooling solutions, OC software (if you are interested in it), warranty period, RMA support, price, etc. and pick a model which is best in your eyes.

ok thanks guys any idea what's the best gtx 1060 is in the UK (wow 8mins 3 comments)

Now you ask the important question.

How do you define best?

Out of the box Benchmark-epenis numbers?

Noise to Temperature ratio?

MSI Gaming X (the red one) is pretty much the best GTX 1060 you will find. Temperature sits at 67°C or so, and doesn't hit 70°C even when Overclocking, while the fans stay so incredible quiet, that i never heared them at all.

However, it's an expensive one. Wonder, if that's worth it...

Palit Jetstream / Gainward Phoenix models are slightly worse, but still incredibly quiet: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Palit-NE51060S15J9-1060J-NVIDIA-GeForce-Graphics/dp/B01IMZTE6A/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1512934802&sr=1-3&keywords=GTX+1060+jetstream

But significantly cheaper. ^^

So, that will be my Recommendation. Very good cooler, very quiet and cool. That's all that's important.

Few Mhz more or less you can change with Afterburner within seconds.

As for performance.. they are all GTX 1060 chips. Even considering slightly different stock clocks, you will not notice ANY difference in performance.

So focus on Noise / temperature, and maybe design :)
