I am doing my first build and wanted to know if this would be a good build. If there is anything to improve please tell me. Here is my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vRsD6X. It will be a medium to high end gaming computer.

yes it is.  It's essentially top of the line for enthuist hardware.  You could step up to X299, but if gaming and some video editing and some other CPU intensive stuff is what you are after and you are not a professional, then you are set for years to come.  You could prolly dial a few things back, but if you can afford it then YOLO.

It's a great PC and pretty wll balanced.  Maybe change the SSD to M.2 and get NVMe cause why not for only a bit more.  Get a 960 evo.  That's about it.

Everything is good, but If youre spending that much, get a better cooler

Agreed, get an AIO, the 8700k runs very hot. will be worth while.  I like corsair cause that's what I have, but just read reviews and find anything that fits your aesthetic at this point.

You're making my 7700k / GTX 1080 build look puny in comparison.

If you're gaming, there really isn't anything better than the 8700k and a 1080ti. I'd like to add two notes.

The first: you don't need 3600mhz RAM. The performance difference between 3200mhz RAM and 3600mhz RAM (with similar or same CAS latency) is minimal. You spend HALF of what you have listed and get effectively the same speed RAM.

Second:

With that extra money you could invest in a better cooler. The i7 8700k get hots under load and even hotter while overclocked. There are numerous tests showing the i7 8700k getting up to 80c and higher with the 212 EVO (though while overclocked). I'd pop for a H100i V2 or similar.

Otherwise, its a great build!!! :D

EDIT: while that PSU should be totally fine and is from a reputable company, if you're willing to spend this much, I'd go for a platinum rated PSU from Seasonic.

he's utterly destroying my q6600 quad core with 8gb of DDR2 and integrated graphics.

Sure it was free and ya it's not plugged in, but I mean cmon 6 cores 12 threads at 5ghz with a 1080 ti.  I mean what are you some sort of supervillain trying to take over the gaming universe.

I mean Sit Down, Be Humble, as Kendrick would say. OP clearly doesn't remember syrup sandwiches.
