Davinci Resolve Issue

I have the free version of davinci resolve, and really want to edit videos with it, but it doesn't support the mp4 that my screen recorder records in, and the mp4 to mov converters for some reason arent working. Ive tried a multitude of converters, but to no sucess. I need help. Im using windows 10.
