What are the differences? The 240 lite is cheaper, but it has lite in the name, which to my knowledge means it has less features or is just worse overall. What are the differences? Are there any other LGA 1366 compatible coolers under 90 CAD that you'd recommend? Thanks!

EDIT: I also found the Silverstone TD02 Lite for $75, how's that one?

As far as the ML 240 goes, I have used this cooler myself on Intel i5 6600K and Ryzen 1700X and it is really good. Can't say about the lite.

Think it could handle an i7-950 overclocked? Not sure how much I'll get out of it, though.

No difference as far as I can tell, maybe a thinner radiator

But be careful with the screws, if one is too long it may pierce the tubes and cause a leak.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I believe that If a Ryzen 1700X is easily handled by ML 240 which we all know runs hotter than Intel CPU's in general, then older CPU's from Intel should also be fine for overclocking.
