How to get a better YouTube rezolution?

Reon28

I may say stupid things, I am at the beggining of the road, so don't judge me too hard :)

I try to make a video for YouTube and I am filming with my Samsung S8 camera on the best 16:9 rezolution (UHD 3840x2160) I can get. I know it's only a smartphone and I can't have big expectations.

I film it, I put it on my laptop and the quality is fine, I would say HD or a little bit better than that, I edit it with adobe premiere pro, I render it selecting FullHD and '1080p YouTube quality' or something like that and the final result looks fine, it's decent, I am pleased, but when I upload the video on YouTube the only quality I can select is 360p and it looks worse than it looks on my laptop. The phone is the problem? Do I need a D-SLR or I missed something?

Thank you for your time :)

Should render the video out to 4k and upload at 4k, it'll give you better quality overall on youtube.

And possibly just invest in Sony Vegas Pro so you aren't paying for premiere monthly, it was on sale for $100-140 on steam, should have another sale at some point in the future

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Thank you for your advice, it's good to know, but I found a cracked version of premiere so it;s cheap enough for me :))
