Which games are the most well optimized recently?

Just write down games which in your opinion run smoothly and are not having any performance issues.

For me, the Sniper Elite series is great in that regard.

Is a game a port if it had a simultaneous launch date with the consoles and was developed in-house (i.e., not given to another studio to do the work)?

i think so, games are usually developed first for consoles and then ported to pc, thats why release date is later on the pc.

But its a general question.

That's a tall assumption. Certain design aspects might be influenced by consoles, but that doesn't necessarily mean that development for all platforms didn't start at the same time.

 

Also the Sniper Elite series , except for the first game, has had simultaneous release dates for consoles and PCs. So I can't call it a port.

I see your point. But no matter if port or not, my question was which games are in general well optimized for the windows pc platform.
