I7 8700k 2400mhz ram

Hey upgrading my i7 6700 to latest i7 8700k and new z370 Just wondering if I can use 2400mhz ram I have already to save me abit more cash till next month then I can get 3200mhz

Yes. It will works and works fine. You can OC the RAM if you are able to and your RAM is good enough for OC.

I wouldn't upgrade to the 8700K if you aren't doing any heavy productivity work like CAD or rendering, but yes.

RAM speeds aren't that important on the intel side of cpus. You'll be fine with 2400mhz.
