DisplayPort Error

Go to solution Solved by xXCapAwesomeXx,

Turns out Windows decided it wanted to change the Multiple Displays setting to only my main Monitor...Only took like 3 hours ti figure that one out

I have an MSI gtx 1080 ti Gaming X, as of about 30 minutes ago bit of my monitors plugged into DisplayPort were working fine then I turnned on my computer and only one monitor turned on the other woke up, said there was no signal, and went back to sleep. I have tried both DisplayPorts and they both work but won’t work at the same time. I have tried reseating my card and switching cables but only one monitor will work at a given time. I have no clue why this is happening and the only solution I can come up with is that it’s my GPU. If someone knows how to fix this please let me know.

I wouldn't exactly expect it to be a driver problem, but it's worth trying the most recent drivers to see if that's a problem.

@firecrow797 my computer won’t recognize both, but when I boot up both monitors will turn on but only one will stay awake.

I think what he meant is "does your computer recognize them both in the Display Settings in Control Panel?" I could be wrong, that's just what it sounds like to me

My computer doesn’t recognize both monitors in display settings and I have been using both monitors in this set up for close to 6 months. I haven’t changed any settings recently and I know that both cables work cause I have swapped them around. I managed to get them both working if I used something like a DVI cable on one of them but then I can’t get either monitor to 144Hz @Crunchy Dragon @firecrow797 @Light-Yagami Thanks for the help so far.

Reset your monitors to factory settings and completely wipe the GPU drivers with this program: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Also uninstall geforce experience.

After the reboot, install geforce experience and install the driver through there. Starting with a clean sheet, you'll see if the problem is resolved and we can start working from there, should the problem persist.

@Light-Yagami I Used DDU to uninstall all of my drivers and uninstalled Geforce Experience, I have both monitors plugged in and upon boot the right monitor was the only one working then after reinstalling drivers the left monitor is the only one working. I am also unable to get my monitor to refresh at 144Hz even though I have a DisplayPort Cable plugged in. thank you for you assistance so far.
