Hey guys, I'm about to build my first gaming pc and I'm pretty much set on everything except the graphics card. This is the build: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/HRRMqk I'm mostly playing World of Warcraft and Civilization (4, 5 and 6). Both are cpu bound, i know, but I also want it to be able to run the new AAA titles on max settings too. I was thinking either RX 580 8GB or 1060 6GB, since they are priced at about the budget i have left for a GPU. I saw a lot of benchmarks on YouTube and it seems like the 1060 is about 3-5% overall faster tho some games run better with the rx580 too. The rx580 has 2gb more vram, making it more "future-proof" and the freesync technology in the monitor I have is a + too. So, my oppinion is that the rx580 is the way to go, but i wanted to double check it with you guys first. 9_9

since you have a freesync monitor you might as well get a 580 for freesync. but that psu is low quality, get a pure power 10 or corsair cx/vengeance instead.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

I would go with the RX580 to take advantage of the freesync, you honestly wont see the performance difference between the 2 cards in the long run. With the extra VRAM, you can turn the details up a bit more in game.

My bad, i dont have the monitor, but im planing on buying it since there is no way im buying a g-sync one. They are way too overpriced. I have a 550W from corsair in my old system that totally doesnt need it so im gonna switch it for this one. Thanks for the input though...

Why is everyone so afraid of the VS series of corsair, did something happen with it? :)

it's rather low quality, not suited for gaming rigs where it can stress the PSU more heavily as it isnt made for that.

It's better tho to get that than some unbranded one or just get a certified one I assume.

Yep 580 for sure, freesync makes gameplay feel a lot smoother, so even in games where you struggle to reach 60 fps, freesync will make it feel a lot better than if there were no sync at all.
