Debian 9 can't do 1080p

I have freshly installed a copy of Debian 9 Linux 64-Bit and I cannot go above 1024x769. I have tried the xrandr method and when I go and use 1080p the the screen goes out of bounds...help?

System specs? Could you also check your kernel version?

It may be a problem with the driver not properly recognizing your monitor. If the image is out of bounds you may be able to fix it in your monitor's menu, there usually is an overscan setting.

Got it working, just needed to figure out NVIDIA Driver issues
