900D Vertical GPU

Hey as the title says.

 

I'm getting a 1080ti strix and feel like it would look better if i verticaly mount it in the case but now sure how to do this or if there is an easy way etc

 

I don't mind cutting the case.

It's not too hard as there looks to be a fair bit of space beside the PCI-E area if you wanted to cut and add in a vertical bracket for mounting.

Is just that front metal bit of the gpu okay to hold all its weight?

It's what you would bolt the GPU into place, you would need to cut an opening in the case to accommodate the bracket.

Yea i mean after i cut and install the bracket is the one attached to the gpu itself okay to hold all the gpus weight

Yes, it's the same way it's done on all backplanes horizontal or vertical.

Is that only for the 900D?

@Cinnabar Sonar this should fit in most mid-tower and full tower cases with 7 PCI-E slots, no modding required.
