There used to be a lot of cool stuff tech wise like kits for that price range a number of years ago but now I am not sure ... /shrug sorry

"Tech" is a pretty broad topic, it depends what he likes.  A raspberry Pi or Arduino could be interesting with the right addons

Or maybe an electronics kit, you know one that comes with a bunch of components and then instructions on how to make a variety of things

ye wat the boi like computer, cameras, coding ( hah 3 C's ) Tech be pretty broad subject please narrow us down.

A Raspberry Pi would be an interesting choice, it's a really versatile little machine.
