I was overclocking my EVGA 1070 FTW and ran in to some strange issues. I had it overclocked before by +207MHz. Anyways, I worked up to an overclock of +150MHz to get to 2050MHz and did a GPU stress test on FurMark, and all went fine. Then I bumped it up to 2075MHz, and it crashed, so I returned to 2050MHZ to make sure that was stable. When I started the stress test, the speed immediately dropped to 1911MHz. I stopped this, and started a GPU benchmark (NOT a stress test) on FurMark, and it ran 2050MHz just fine. When I exited the benchmark, the card was suddenly running at 2037MHz, so I adjusted the frequency from +150 to +163 to get me bac to 2050. I tried another stress test, and it dropped to 1911MHz, when I exited, the card was running at 2063MHz, so I went back to +150MHz to bet to 2050MHz again. Another stress test, the same drop to 1911MHz, and upon exiting, it was at 2037MHz again, so I dropped the +150MHz overclock alltogether. (I had the memory running at 4500MHz, but dropped that too, so it runs at 4006MHz).

I was running with Kboost on and power and temp sliders maxed out and +10% voltage.

Without the +150MHz overcock, it runs at different speeds from 1911MHz to 1956MHz at around 60-65 degrees under load.

I was thinking about flashing my GPU bios, but I'm also not entirely sure how.
