Alright, so here is my first ever build. Pretty much what iv decided on. Open to thoughts, opinions, advice etc.
Please note the CPU & Motherboard, as well as case and RAM, are pretty much set in stone. The rest is subject to change and i had a few specific questions
#1. Should I get an ASUS Geforce GTX STRIX 1050 ti or an ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1050 ti? Whats the verdict?
#2. Is my CPU cooler alright? Do you recommend something better? I'm looking for something RGB But cheap and efficient. hoping to use the saved money here on other components
#3. Is my PSU alright? Recommend me a better one if you think it fits, but keep in mind I am planning to upgrade my GPU at some point (to probably a 1070 ti or 1080 ti) as well as buy more ram and possibly a 1tb SATA 3 SSD to replace the 1tb HDD
Okay, Here we go with the components :

Power Supply 5ccdecd73f9b346ebf46d2845dc57ac2.256p.jpg $84.99   $4.99   $89.98 Newegg   Buy

P.S : Ignore Prices, i will not be buying from PC PartPicker and i will be getting much better deals elsewhere so prices of like the GPU and PSU listed above are irrelevant. CPU/MOBO/Case already bought, and much cheap than listen price. Just letting you know incase listed prices affect build judgement as i saw some were way higher

Also keep in mind the white/blue/black theme im kinda going for. mainly just white/clearish and blue. so you know lol

7th gen is the worst deal now, since Ryzen and 8th gen sandwiched it from value and performance standpoint.

Z370 needed for 8th gen

H7 is too weak for an overclockable 8th gen chip. If it's a locked 8th gen then might as well use the stock cooler.

SATA SSDs are only a tiny bit slower than an NVMe drive when it comes to being a boot drive, but cost much less

For a gaming build you should spend around 40-50% of budget on the graphics card. This build is completely unbalanced because the graphics card is too weak and will limit the CPU's performance (eve in terms of 7700k, more so with 8th gen i5 and i7).

CPU: i7-2600K 4751MHz 1.44V (software) --> 1.47V at the back of the socket Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 (BCLK: 103.3MHz) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 RAM: Adata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000) GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual (Super Jetstream vbios, +70(2025-2088MHz)/+400(8.8Gbps)) SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (main boot drive), Transcend SSD370 128GB PSU: Seasonic X-660 80+ Gold Case: Antec P110 Silent, 5 intakes 1 exhaust Monitor: AOC G2460PF 1080p 144Hz (150Hz max w/ DP, 121Hz max w/ HDMI) TN panel Keyboard: Logitech G610 Orion (Cherry MX Blue) with SteelSeries Apex M260 keycaps Mouse: BenQ Zowie FK1

Like i said, i know that there are better cpu options and i could of went with 8th gen. BUT the cpu is ALREADY SET IN STONE. So i will make it work, Just looking for opinions on the entire thing as is right now, and im trying to stick to a budget GPU for now and ugprade later on. If i could get the 1080 ti right away i definitely would. im gonna use this as my daily driver even doing some photoshop work etc in addition to a bit of gaming. Nothing on like pro streamer level but you know

Why is the CPU set in stone? It's literally the same chip with more cores

For future's sake 8th gen or Ryzen is still better, even with mid-range CPUs so you can upgrade without changing the mobo.

If you arent using this graphics card for that long (like, a year and a half?) then getting something used that's not too old. At $150 it's hard to beat the 970 in terms of value. Even if you want the 10-series with warranty there are 1060 3gb at also $150, or 1050ti at lower than $120.
