Hm, you'd have to do more than that... Steam OS, but then lock out most of the games, delete File Explorer and most of the other apps, unplug the mouse and keyboard, run F@H in the background to simulate performance...

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Also you need to have someone charge you a subscription fee to use it online. For our purposes we could install some malware and such to search your network for financial info

Xbox runs the exact same Windows OS, with a different shell (Windows has Explorer, Xbox has its custom UI). technically the OS version is identical if you compare them (both are currently running build 10.0.16299, version 1709, fall creators update).

The store is identical too (exact same app with some minor UI tweaks), but you can only download games and apps that have been made available by the publisher, and certified by MS. That means you can't download and play third-party Xbox games on PC, and likewise you cannot use use apps designed purely for KB/M on Xbox (MS wouldn't certify it), like Arduino, Office.

Most MS games and apps are cross-platform though.

The Xbox UI is not currently available on PC (and Windows Explorer is not currently available on the console), but they said it is coming sometime, possibly next year.

I think (bolded above) is what OP was talking about
