What's wrong with my USB ports?

I have a Corsair Crystal 460x with two USB 3.0 headers and when I plug my Google Pixel into it (USB to USB C cable) the cable USB C end starts to smell of burning and the phone doesn't charge. I can plug in things like my Nikon Coolpix Camera to transfer files and other USB sticks and they work fine. One of the times I plugged my phone into the PC I got an error saying that there was a power surge in the USB port. I have tried two different cables so I know the cable isn't at fault. Is the power draw too high?

Sound: Sony MDR 1000x Headphones, Blue Snowball Microphone

 

Laptop Specs:

Gigabyte Aorus 15G

CPU: Intel i7 10875H

RAM: 16gb DDR4

Storage: 512gb NVMe, 1TB Crucial MX300 SATA SSD

GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Max-Q
