We have a frontier modem that we use and it does not reach my room with wifi. I already have Ethernet strung to my room but when the ethernet is plugged into the router it doesn't pick up any internet. When it's plugged into the computer it works just fine. Does anyone know what's going on here?

Did this just start happening?

Have you tried Factory resetting your Router and making sure it has the latest firmware update?

If you connect directly to the modem your internet works correct?

And when you connect to the router it doesn't connect anymore?

Were you able to connect to the router in the past or is the first time you are trying to use the router?

I ask this because, I have had issues in the past when setting up a home network where the router is still setup with a previous SSID or needs to be factory reset. Which is just long pressing a small button behind the router.

Ok so if I am plugged directly into the modem from my pc I have internet. But If I try to plug the ethernet into the router there isn't any internet showing up on the router notification lights. We got a new modem and this is what set this all off.

Already tried restarting the modem them router?

Can any other device get internet through Ethernet or wifi through the router?
