Here's one of the laptops I had in mind: HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 15.6" (Kaby Lake-R)

I'm hearing stories about HP's poor QC control, can y'all HP folks share your stories?

I'm also looking at: Dell XPS 15 9560 (Kaby Lake).

Any other recommendations? Are integrated graphics sufficient for moderate Photoshop?

Both are good laptops, iGPU is sufficient for Photoshop but dGPU is a plus. Usually, QC is good for premium products.

Trying to find a new laptop for myself. I plan to program, edit on some light-to-moderate Photoshop, and write articles.

Budget is anywhere between $1000 - $1500, but am willing to spend a tad bit over / under my budget.

Here's what I am looking for, in order of importance:

  • 8th-generation Intel Core i-series CPUs
  • 16GB RAM (a MUST-HAVE for me)
  • Good I/O selection (full-size SD card reader, USB-C/TB3, USB-A, etc.)
  • Any resolution screen with >99% sRGB (something very color-accurate)
  • Long-lasting battery life (8+ hours on "normal" use, 10+ is recommended

Thanks y'all!
