MY UPS is a APC Smart-UPS 750VA.

Big batteries pose a potential risk, but that risk is very minimal.

lead-acid batteries are passive AF, you couldnt get them to burst into flames if you tried.

the biggest potential hazard in a UPS is the capacitors going bad, and the potential "electrical troubles" that brings.

For a second, I thought this was about fire risks at United Parcel Service, and I was about to tell you the story of the time a friend of mine thought that shipping a bunch of matches was a good idea.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
