what cpu should I go for. I have a 6500 need a lot more performance out of one game factorio looks like i have to spend for the 7700k or 7600k can not afford the 8800k.

The 7600K is not really an upgrade, so just keep your 6500 or, if you want to upgrade, get an i7 6700(K)/7700(K) or a Ryzen 5 1600 with a B350 board, as @kelvinhall05 said

Because you get a minor clockspeed bump, and that's it. Just get one of the other two CPUs he suggested.

Well, that's too bad. A 7600K should be the same price as a 6700. How much did he say you can spend? Maybe you should get an R5 1600.

amd is not good at all for the game it love single core performace only

the cpu never got hot enough have the stock one 

how to convince my dad he is the one who only upgrade at all when need he is still on a 2 core mac mini froom 2005 give or take or 2007 with hardrive and get anger some time with lag but do nto want to spend the mony to upgrade.

According to this post/benchmarks Factorio sees a difference when RAM speeds are increased.

Try to enable max turbo frequency in your BIOS as well so it runs the 7500 at full potential.

Perhaps XMP as well (turn off if you experience instabilities)

sorry it is just my dad  is low on upgrade i hope to get a 7600k just have to connive my dad who do not see the point if just for games and he is in charge for money

I understand the money part since I'm 12, but seriously, buy a 1600. Either that or save up for an i7. That's my final point. I'm not going to change it.

what is so bad about a 7600k only need 4 cores and that mean all new ram and all new mother board  and amd is bad for the game i hope to save up and convince my dad it may take longer then this year

Not that it's bad, it's probably not worth your money going from i5-6500 to i5-7600K (considered an old platform due to release of Coffee Lake) for the minor performance increase. Well since you already got a Z270 motherboard, you could sell your i5-6500 and H110M motherboard and get 7600K* and overclock it.

 

Do share with us your experience after upgrading to 7600K.

 

*You will need to get a cooler though, 7600K doesn't comes with one.
