Howdy there LTT community! I just bought an XB1X and am having a HELL of a time getting my controller to stay connected. Batteries are fine, there is a direct line of sight to the console, there are no interfering devices nearby, I'm sitting 5-10 feet away, and I'm running the latest software on both the controller and the console.

Problem in short: If I tilt the controller away from the console (more than 45 degrees) it disconnects, and does not reconnect unless I remove the batteries and turn it back on, or go through the pairing process.

This reminds me of the antenna issue that the Nintendo Switch controller had when it came out. The Switch had a quick DIY fix, or a manufacturer recall replacement. I haven't seen either on the XB1X.  A little online digging shows I'm not the only affected person, but I can't find a good answer as to why, or how to fix it.

Brand new $500 piece of tech and out of the box it's almost useless. Please help!

Did you happen to have any of the previous Xbox One's? If so try using one of their controllers. I'm still using the classic Xbox One so you could say I'm outdated somehow but it seems more like a controller problem because anytime I got it, I have been a fair distance from it and with my back faced to it other than that I worked fine for me? ]

Solution buy a new controller with Receipt and see if it has same problem if do return that controller and contract Xbox Support line to see about resolving that issue.

Some people prefer a challenge, I just band my head against a wall until my method works...
