Do not use Nicehash, use cgminer and a reasonable pool like Aikapool.

Nicehash takes a 4% cut whilst Aikapool takes like 0.5%. However if you find a pool that suites you better use that.

Most pools have instructions on how to run CGMiner or most other popular miners like Cudaminer and minerd.

Nicehash is a big scam making use of noobs. Also, stay away from these "Bitcoin Cash" and "Bitcoin Gold" altcoins(anything that contains the word "Bitcoin", stay away), and don't mine Bitcoin straight up as competition is really high.

I mine Dogecoin myself but you could try Litecoin or Ethereum. Or if you want you can mine a lesser known altcoin like Lunacoin or Shaft(random examples).

Nicehash is a big example of: If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

i use coinbase as my wallet so how will litecoin work and how do i mine that.

@Julian2000nl Right now I only have a R9 270 and my personal machine to mine on. How profitable would this be seeing the miner would run around 24 hours on week days when i dont game and like 12 hours on the weekends when I game.

I use this site: https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/ltc

You can set your hashing power (MH/s or KH/s), which you can see whilst mining. How much power(Watt) your computer uses whilst mining, and your local energy price. Do this all in USD, not in CAD.

For the Cost per KW/h you might want to contact your electricity company, as I couldn't find that information online. You can measure your computer's power usage with a cheap wall plug electricity meter, and you can see your hashing power inside CGMiner.

Hashing power is different for each algorithm. Litecoin uses Scrypt, but Dash for example uses X11. I always prefer Scrypt coins.

EDIT: You know what, I'm putting some hardware on Aikapool Litecoin too.

ok i have a problem. How do i know if my miner is on. The bat file disappears and leavs me with no gpu or cpu usage.

What do you put in your BAT file? It should stay open and should mine until you close it. Could you put pause at the end of the file and retry? Like this:

cgminer --scrypt -I 13 -o stratum+tcp://stratum.aikapool.com:7900 -u UserName.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
pause

It should pause the script when cgminer errors out. Please post the error which it gives.

ok works

You got it to work? Can you show me a screenshot of the window so I can verify everything is optimally working?

Seems like you've left the default values. You should update it with your own.

Also I found a guy on Reddit with the same GPU, he managed to increase his hashrate by adding the following lines at the top of his batch script.

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
(rest of script you already have)

Managed to get him up to 400KH/s. However cgminer is working correctly, congratulations!

still around the same.

BUT THANKS

though I have one question: how will I know how much ahve I made uptill now.
