HELP?

Hi i just upgraded from a 1080p @ 60hz  to a 2k @144hz but i cant get any game to go past 60fps v sync is off! plz help

What output are you using?  Also you probably need to set the refresh rate in the Nvidia control panel

You didn't accidentally cap it at 60FPS in the in-game settings, right?

In-game settings refresh rate. In Borderlands 2 for example, you can set it capped to 60FPS. Just trying to cover all the bases.

I don't believe so ill be using csgo for testing, i also turned setting much lower than normal and the fps wont budge

Did you also optimize it through the GeForce Experience tool?

When I do that it set the settings much higher. so I attempted turning them down to try and get the fps to move but no luck

Does is say Unlimited under Framerate in the GeForce tool?

Open GeForce Experience.

Highlight your desired game.

Click Details.

It will list what your settings are currently.

I do not see an unlimited option

have you made sure you completely uninstalled all drivers from the previous card you were using? ive ha issues where old drivers mess with new cards in creative ways

yes, I did a fresh build

Interesting. New plan: Right click in the desktop and click NVIDIA Control Panel.

Go to Change Resolution under Display.

Switch the refresh rate.

it may be windows not setting your monitor to its max refresh rate I've had issues with that before too. Right click on desk top and select display settings then follow the blue on the picture from right to left
