How to test my GPU?

So, my Gigabyte GTX 1050 WindForce arrived, and I want to check if it works. The only desktop PC I have (Until all the other parts will arrive) is running Windows Vista, and I didn't find and drivers for Windows vista on Gigabyte's site. I'm assuming that this card doesn't work with Windows Vista, and that I'll have to wait for all the other parts of the pc to arrive before I can use the Graphics card, but maybe there's a way to run it on Windows Vista? Thanks!

This might sounds weird but windows 7 driver sometimes work with windows vista.

You might want to try it. :ph34r:

It sends a signal through HDMI, but its slower then the integrated on my Core 2 Duo. I'm almost sure I need another Driver...

EDIT : u can it will work its just u can't put the card under load cause some bencmarking apps or games required proper gpu driver.

That is why u need to try it good luck.

Yeah, probably a driver issue. Worst case scenario it's temps (repaste, easy fix) or super low clocks for some reason (also an easy fix).

is there a specific reason why this computer is still on vista?

if you can upgrade this machine to windows 7 then, by any means, please do. 

 

you will do yourself a favor - and possibly the rest of us because if this thing is connected to the internet, being way behind on security updates makes it just another machine waiting to become part of a botnet
